DAAN 2013 Spring/Summer Collection
If you missed out on DAAN‘s inaugural launch at General Pants Co., you’ll be pleased to know that the label’s Spring/Summer 2013 menswear pre-collection is back in stores. Designed by Dan Single — better known as one-fourth of legendary Australian label Ksubi — the five-piece capsule was “inspired by models wearing big and baggy clothing” and paid homage to androgyny with boldly-patterned, unisex silhouettes. And while the paisley tracksuit pant and top, 5-panel cap and wildly-popular logo tees proved elusive for many the first time around — selling out nationally and online — they are now back in stock at General Pants Co. and available for purchase.

What is YOTT
YOTT = Year of the Tshirt 2011. It is a fun, unique and exciting campaign to expose a wide variety of designs and styles to Tshirt enthusiast. It is also an opportunity to provide designers and artists an outlet to get their work in front of the world. I use the site (www.yearofthetshirt.com) to illustrate the tees, but I also use social media applications like Twitter and Facebook to promote the brand / artist’s links, promotions, events, etc…
Also… I don’t have the sexiest torso and I thought it would be a great idea to get free Tshirts to help me cover it up.
The idea of YOTT didn’t start with me. It was founded by Brian Shevlin in 2010. He is the owner of a very cool, underground art studio call Con Artist (http://www.conartistnyc.com/). I met Brian in 2010 by doing research to conduct a similar project as YOTT. Brain saw my excitement about Tshirts and decided to pass on YOTT to me to continue in 2011
