THE BROOKLYN INTERNETS
With all the hype surrounding the Brooklyn Nets lately it was only a matter of time before someone came along to make fun of everything that’s taken place. The Internet especially has been full of endless stories all saying what boils down to the same thing about the Nets, Jay-Z, and Barclays Center. It’s gotten to the point where the borough’s team is practically the Internet – enter the Brooklyn Internets.
Check out the T-shirt above and pick it up from Frank and Jan.

PYREX VISION SPRING/SUMMER 2013 “YOUTH ALWAYS WINS” COLLECTION

A man with many talents, known as the creative director of DONDA, the style adviser of Kanye West and co-owner of Chicago lifestyle boutique RSVP Gallery, Virgil Abloh is slowly but steadily also adding the designer title to his long list of occupations.

Today his brand PYREX VISION has released a video lookbook for its sophomore collection for Spring/Summer 2013, entitled “Youth Always Wins”.

“From American designer, Virgil Abloh.

The winner will always be young.

It’s all based of his high school experience. Pusha-T drug raps. Champion gym uniforms. Caravaggio obsession. Micheal Jordan as God. Kurt cobain felt the most real. Black kid with white tendencies.

That juxtaposition.

Being self-taught was the extent of his art education. Added help from living and breathing youth street skate culture combined with living in Rome and Paris.

YOUTH WINS GAMES no matter the sport. Pavement. Concrete.

Models casted from Harlem to Amsterdam to represent the YOUTH. The next.”

Made up of bold logo pieces for the most part, Abloh worked with a set number of color palettes for the new collection. The line features shorts, t-shirts, plaid shirts, caps and more, everything coming with a slightly oversized fit. Modeled by A$AP Barri, A$AP Nast, A$AP Josh, A$AP Illz, Ian Connor and Nayle Junior, the collection is now available here.

ROCKWELL BY PARRA 2012 FALL/WINTER COLLECTION

New from Rockwell by Parra is a selection of items that showcase the Dutch artist’s noted post-pop art aesthetic — highly saturated colors, vibrant hand-drawn letters and surreal characters. In a range of tees, hoodies and accessories, each piece is populated by Parra’s bird-like characters and witty humor courtesy of discharged prints in a focused color spectrum. SSUR 2012 HOLIDAY COLLECTION

While SSUR is certainly no rookie to the realm of streetwear, the hardwork of founder Russ Karablin has culminated in the brand’s most successful year to date. Bolstered by its diffusion label, “The Cuts,” SSUR has brought to the table some of streetwear’s previously lost reverence which incorporated provocation and discussion. The new SSUR Holiday 2012 line takes on some classical angles including some notable logo flips and of course, an homage to SSUR’s roots of New York City.
